2013 IMCS YEAR IN REVIEW
The 2013 Evenson Law Office Iron Man Challenge Series is in the books as 42 different IMCA Modified drivers from 9 states ran with the series at Great Basin Raceway in Ely, Nevada and Rattlesnake Raceway in Fallon, Nevada.
11 IMCA Sport Mod drivers completed the four race series. No driver competed at all four events.
The series had drivers from Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, & Wyoming. Only four drivers competed all four races in the series.
Four different drivers visited victory lane in both the IMCA Modified and the IMCA Sport Mod division.
In the IMCA Modifieds, Zane DeVilbiss of Farmington, New Mexico claimed the series championship as he drove to victory lane at the finale in Fallon, Nevada on July fourth.
The other winners included first time Evenson Law Office Iron Man Challenge Series winners Jeff Olschowka and Ricky Alvarado. Olschowka picked up the win in Fallon on the third and Alvarado was the winner in Ely on the twenty-ninth of June.
Aaron Spangler was the opening night winner in Ely during the Iron Man/WWMT combined race on Friday, June 28.
In the IMCA Sport Mods, Jimmy Ford of Yuba City, California became the series champion as he drove to victory lane in Fallon on the Fourth of July.
The other winners included Zachary Cail in Fallon on the third of July, Jake Rice was the winner in Ely, Nevada on June 28th and Justin Wright was opening night winner in Ely.
The top ten in the IMCA Modified series points were Zane DeVilbiss, Dustin Hansen, Chase Hansen, K.C Kubichek, Aaron Spangler, Brody Spangler, Jeff Olschowka, Justen Yeager, Steve Evenson, and Ricky Alvarado. Points are unofficial as of now.
The IMCA Sport Mod point standings was Jimmy Ford, Pete Olsen, Zachary Cail, Jeff Tuttle, Jake Rice, Chuck Delp, Travis Poll, Jessy McElroy, Keith Mikaelson, Justin Wright, & Chris Neal.
The series traveled to two different tracks in four races.
